MAGACON 2012

I am no gamer.
I mean, sure, I like to play video games, and analog games, and some pc games.
But I have never admitted to be a gamer-girl.
Because I never was.

But MAGACON 2012 that happened on 3-4 November 2012. makes me rethink my disposition on this fact. lol. I had sooo much fun and enjoyed all the games I played tremendously that I have no doubt I could and would be addicted to these games given the chance.

Thanks to Nuffnang and Tony Teh, I manage to experience MAGACON for myself. MAGACON is Malaysia Games Convention and a "funfair where Malaysians gather to meet new people and play hundreds of games from all platforms. MaGaCon is Malaysia’s largest games convention that combines the best of both digital and analog worlds."

As a Nuffnager, we were given a slot of our own called the Nuffnang Challenge. We were each given three mission to be completed.

The first mission being to play the Call of Duty II. Honestly, I have never played this game before. So I decided to allow my partner in crime for the day to play for me. Which is actually useless bacause they made me play anyway. lol. But I really enjoyed the game. In fact, I fared better than my friend. lol Must be the hidden gamer girl in me.

My Partner on his COD game.
Then we head over to the analog side to play an extremely gigantic version of the usual Jenga. Our nemesis that day was team Teh Tarik.

Our tower ended up to be as tall as Tony's. But I didn't take any photos as I was very busy with trying to make sure the damn tower did not collapse.

Tony's and Iris's Tower
Before we played the Jenga, Teh Tarik's team and the brat's team, manage to face off in a single game of what we used to call "bola kotak". I remember playing this game when I was much younger in school. But now, there's a much better version of it, with the same player, rules and ball, but with better and much more even field. (We use to play this on our school table. lol) Check out their website at www.mindspot.com.my

My friend and Teh Tarik face-off
And our last mission was to have a care-free face off with the public. And so we decided to play the "bola kotak" again. I am however, sorry that for the life of me, I could not recall the name of the contenders.

Me pretending like I could actually shoot a goal.
I also manage to do some crafting at one of the booth. We were suppose to color our own toy soldier. I am, extremely bad with arts. I wanted to make my soldier a cool colour of white and red. But in the end, because of my two left hand, I manage to make a pink soldier instead. Lol. Sorry about that XD

My "art work". The pink soldier, lol
And believe it or not, I also played Assassin's Creed III on PS3. The person in charge there gave me a mission to kill the guards. I need to play the game again to see how the game really is. It was a bit too easy that time, and since the playing was so short, I didn't manage to understand what the game is all about.

Source
My card with stamp as proof I played it XD

But, my highlight for the day was actually playing "Just Dance". It is EXTREMELY good exercise. I need to get one of those quick. It is fun and you have a good exercise without actually meaning to.

Our dance face-face off XD
Here's the video that I took (from the tv that recorded our retarded dance. lol)

All-in-all it was a very fun day. If I get to go again next time, I will make sure to play more games. I saw some interesting cards table on the analog side and more ps3 games which I was not able to play. But I will surely do so next time. And I'll bring someone who is more into games, so I'm sure to have a partner to indulge in these wonderful world of games. lol.

This event had fed the brat in me to the (almost) full extent. Let's look forward for another MaGaCon and unleash the brats in us. muahahahahah

Sincerely ever bratty,

Picnic with Bloggers La~ La~ La~

In the words of my favorite extremely vocal critique blogger, Tony Teh
"It seems like we never see you anymore!"
Lol.
Well, he's right. Eversince I started working, I rarely go to any blogger-related gathering or event or screenings anymore. I think more than once, I had to cancel my intent to go to an event/gathering due to other commitments. Thus, the first thing Tony said when I arrived "fashionably late" that beautiful evening was "You didn't ffk this time!"

I had to help my parents with something that day, and fulfil my duty as their daughter before I could do anything else. Hence I arrived About 2 hours later than the time specified. But hey, I came with food!

I came bringing my infamous usually, very spicy, spaghetti (which did not turn out as spicy that day due to the chilli that I use is just not spicy). And just so happen, I was cooking in a ware that I don't usually use, so the gravy was a little too oily this time round (I mis-judged the amount of oil to be used)

Okay, enough details of my boring spaghetti, let's take a look at the faces that showed up that day. Some of the photos are taken by Aki. Let you guys which is taken by him and which is taken by me XD

Rexs a.k.a Si Aki Borneo
Isaac Tan and Preggy Wifey (Congrats!!)

So Scandalous~~~ Tony & Jiayeen
Opps Sorry, Iris was there too~~ haha

Jackie Loi manage to show up as well. Congrats for your Graduation!!!
Look who decided to show up as well and join the crowd!

Okay, and last but not least, GROUP PHOTO!!!

All in all, it was a great day. We should organize more of this kind of gathering, but this time, we should arrange more games and activities as well. It would be SUPER awesome.

Signing off now,

Bloggers Chemistry with Coffee??

It's time to clear the dusts and cobwebs that has started to collect at the corner of my blog. How else more purrrrfffect than a bloggers' get together?

And so, (was it last weekend?) Mr. Clever Munkey, a.k.a Henry Lee organized another blogger get together at one of our fellow bloggers' place, the Coffee Chemistry Signature (CCS) in First Subang Mall, Subang Jaya.

I had to go through such hurdles in order to get my hand on this bag, and FINALLY, I managed to do so. I was soooo excited! (Because I never get anything related to Halloween before!)

The Wrath of a Blogger

It is interesting to see how far a person would go once they put their mind in it. I would have applauded with all 20 fingers if I can to Supia for standing up for her beliefs.Just think, just to prove her point, she waded through 153 posts!! I'll be dizzy after just reading 15 blogs. She's one determined and awesome chick if you ask me.

Reading her recent post on her dissatisfaction of NN's competition a thought crossed my mind, NEVER provoke the wrath of a serious blogger. You'd be signing off your early retirement letter if you do. Probably, one might think, what can a puny little blogger do to a large organization? Agreed that one puny no-body blogger will make little or no impact. But try to stop and think, what happens when there are a lot of other bloggers who read their blog agrees with them? What if one mega famous blogger happens to read their post, agreed and re-post it or tell their followers to go and take a peak on that post? Do you still think it will not effect your organization?

I am not agreeing or disagreeing with Supia's claims. I think she has her points, but I also think that NN have their own procedures. After all, there is always two sides in a story. However, mistakes as this, might spell the end of NN if they are not careful. If bloggers start to run away from them, no matter how many advertisers they get, it wouldn't make any change.

The blogosphere may be a large area, but it is one that resonates and multiply.

A pin falling on the floor might sound like a bomb exploding in the blogosphere world. So thread the waters carefully if you don't want to fall into a whirlpool.

I am really tired to have coherent thoughts. So I'll end this post here now. Just writing to support this friend of mine. Go check out her blog and see if you agree with her :) Supiaholic

Think I'm SWEET? Then PROVOKE me and I'll make you THINK AGAIN, -the brat,

100th milestone for the brat! oh YEAYY!!

Just a short note here,
My followers have officially reached the 100th person.
After almost one year being an active blogger, I finally got my 100th follower.
Another milestone for the brat.

I may not be as active as I want to,
But I do hope that occasionally, I'll touch someone's heart,
make someone think,
make someone smile, laugh,
or cry
I want to somehow reach out to the world, and let them know
I am here.

I'd like to extend my thanks to Alvin from http://alvinontherocks.com/ for being the 100th person to follow my blog. Alvin, you rock!
Since I am a poor blogger who has yet to generate money, I can't give you anything YET. I'll be ransacking through my things to see if I can give you anything.

I wonder, did the brat's blog ever touch any lives?
I wonder, did it touched yours?

Sincerely,

An Official Apology to Nuffnang

I was supposed to be at the glitterati+ meet yesterday (16/10/2010). However, I fell very sick and is still now recovering from it. If you guys had noticed, I haven't been updating either. Lately I was so busy with my studies that I barely have time to take care of myself. And when the work finally subsided on Friday, I fell sick. It was worst on Saturday.

So, Nana Eddy, the Brat, officially writing an apology post to nuffnang team for my inability to be at the glitteratti+ meeting. If there is anything I can do to make it up, I will.

I'm Sorry

I'm Sorry

I'm Sorry

Sincerely,

Celebrating the M.O.I.S.T me (Vaseline Poolside Partaay!!)

I know, this is a bit overdue but what the heck, I'm gonna post it up anyway!! For the first time ever, I get to meet with fellow bloggers, I just HAVE to post!

WARNING: there will be A LOT of pictures here...

Remember my M.O.I.S.T post? Well, I was one of the lucky 70 bloggers who were invited to the poolside party. It just show that the Brat is definitely Most Obviously Indefinitely Super Terrific.

the view from 33rd floor of Luna Bar Poolside

Anyway, I went there with my loco sister cum blogger, Miemy Eddy (note that Eddy is our dad, and thus the similarity). And arrived at approximately 5.

Miemy Eddy

While waiting in the line to get into Luna Bar at the registration area, I met  the blogger that happens to be queing up in front of me, Kaizen.

Kaizen Shinobi-san
Then, he pointed me out a famous Bahasa blogger, Dark Batman

Bro Dark Batman, lelaki.kacak.maskulin

Then my sister and I decided to take a walk on the other side of the magnificent pool. There we met these pretty ladies, Joanne and Cat.

Joanne is the blogger for rumtumblurpei

and of course, there were a lot of other blogger too, who later share the same table with us.

me, Joanne, Kahee, Miemy, and Suzai

Mimey was there with us too. He's so sweet...

While busy taking pictures suddenly, I spotted an entity that seems so very familiar to me. So, I decided to get closer and see if my eyes didn't deceive me. And Whoaallah! I found Vince!

he managed to get to the party, and I manage to spot him!
the funny, cute, naughty blogger of
Vincent's Philosophy

There were a lot of people there. Since I know almost no one yet, I decided, it's best if I mingle around and see who else I'll bump into. Thank God for the name sticker everyone was wearing, I noticed some VERY familiar names. And so, I approached to say hi!

my name sticker.

With Dylan the cute guy with an everlasting smile

a quite famous blogger, feeq from feeqsays
a slightly blurred picture of me with the dashing babebaboon
(maybe the phptographer saw the pretty girl behind us)
with Adrian and his date
with two ladies who still look so beautiful even though it has been  3 hours into the party
Moon and Jun

However, there was only ONE special blogger who came and said hi to me, bacause SHE recognized MY NAME (awww.. so sweet). A big applause to the very very lovely Msxeroz

Nicole@Msxeroz - She's so pretty and small. I feel like an ogre next to her..

she was moving around her her friend, also a familiar name to me, Yiwern

I really need to start taking down people's links...
The PARTY was of course awesome with all the nuffies there... but what makes it even more cooler was

#1 The MAGNIFICENT view

Night view from the 33rd Floor
magnificent KL tower view we have from Luna.
Not exactly the view, but I adore this arrangement.

#2 beautiful pretty host, Jojo Struys

she's so pretty that I feel so short, fat and ugly.

#3 The comedian, Kuah Jen Han - very funny guy.

this was supposed to be a hip-hop-cool pose. But it didn't seem that way.. lols

#4 Yuna and her band. - They sounded really good that night.

Yuna and her band, on stage
Yuna - her voice is sooooo good.

her cute (*wink *wink) drummer
one of her guitarist

would I pass the chance to take picture with these guys? no way!

And of course, with Yuna herself. She's one heck of a friendly singer!

Unfortunately for me, I didn't stay until the end of the event. I have another promise with my mum (yes, despite being bratty, the brat is a good daughter.) All in all, it was a great evening. Thanks to Nuffnang and Vaseline... So I say bye to all and started my way out...

Of course, not before one last final shot.

Hey, I'm a BRAT after all :)
