"Cervical cancer is a disease in which cells in the cervix grow abnormally. About 99.7 per cent of cervical cancer cases are caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). Vaccinating against cervical cancer may reduce deaths by as much as two-thirds."Under the LPPKN, the government is currently running the HPV Vaccination Program (PVHPV) The main objective for this vaccination program is to reduce the load of disease as a cause of Cervical Cancer for the next 20 years to come.
How to get Vaccinated?
Under the government initiative, from 2nd of October to 16th November, LPPKN will be going to Universities in Klang Valley, Sabah and Sarawak to give out free vaccine to all the selected Universities students. The vaccination programme starts at 9am to 4pm.
