The Supiaholic's rant "Dumb guys let their lower body control their mind, but dumber girls let the guy low body destroy their life" the BRAT's take

WARNING! - This is a long. wordy and serious post!

Supiaholic's rant on Dumb guys let their lower body control their mind, but dumber girls let the guy low body destroy their life couldn't be more dead on than it already is. I agree with the title 100% an thus the reason why I keep the title. Probably just being 18 she only have heard this kind of story once. Not for me though.. But she's not wrong. Being YOUNG never I repeat NEVER makes what one person is saying wrong.

The Brat had personally heard this kind of stories coming from brat's acquaintances and closed friends. It crushes my heart each time. And in crushing my heart, it never fails to make me angry as well.

100th milestone for the brat! oh YEAYY!!

Just a short note here,
My followers have officially reached the 100th person.
After almost one year being an active blogger, I finally got my 100th follower.
Another milestone for the brat.

I may not be as active as I want to,
But I do hope that occasionally, I'll touch someone's heart,
make someone think,
make someone smile, laugh,
or cry
I want to somehow reach out to the world, and let them know
I am here.

I'd like to extend my thanks to Alvin from http://alvinontherocks.com/ for being the 100th person to follow my blog. Alvin, you rock!
Since I am a poor blogger who has yet to generate money, I can't give you anything YET. I'll be ransacking through my things to see if I can give you anything.

I wonder, did the brat's blog ever touch any lives?
I wonder, did it touched yours?

Sincerely,

Belanga Minum Petang Sensation- YUMMM!

Yup, yet another food review by the ever so bratty brat. This time, the Brat ventured into the Belanga Cafe @ Empire Shopping Gallery, Subang Jaya. It was a boutique cafe specializing in Malay Cuisine and now, it is trying to create a new approach,  a local coffee hub with an international touch. Having coffee paired with our local kueh... just thinking of it makes me droll~

When I was invited by Feeq to the food tasting, I thought, hey finally some local food that I actually know about and can review (with more expert than the last Italian food review). Oh boy, am I ever wrong.

Don't get me wrong, The food are mostly awesome. Only, some of the food I had never tried or just simply haven't heard of. I mean, "tahi itik"? (directly translated as duck shit) You must be kidding me! Even though I was very much doubtful, in the spirit of food tasting, I tried it and man! It was surprisingly good. If you have a sweet tooth, definitely go to belanga and give this a try (sorry no picture).

Value for your $$$$ "kaching!!!"

Okay, so I am not branded savvy person. I don't care much about brands nor do I know very much about it. As long as the thing is good and I'm comfortable with it, I'd stick with it, despite the price, despite the brand. So, today I'm gonna talk about some of the things I personally used and definitely satisfied with it, and actually not so much of a waste of money.

Don't worry guys, even though there are gonna be a lot of girly things here I'm sure there are some you can pick up too :)

My hidden Passion

Writing about some hot issues that consist some heavy thinking is a bit too much for me right now since I had just been in a turbulent battle with my assignments.

I'm opting for something lighter, one of my hobbies which I rarely admit or write in any slots in any document that ask me to fill in as my hobbies. Today is a post that is inspired by the earliest blog I had ever followed namely, www.afiqsays.com. For someone younger than me, I always taught he has a good head up on his shoulder. Better than mine at least.

Okay, so the moment of truth.... my hidden passion is Anime/Manga. Yes I love all those rough sketches and  drawing of Japanese cartoonist. I love those sappy love story and over interpretations and representation of games and arts and jobs.

Afiq describes himself as a geek. I'm not.

not a geek

If he had his eyes on Tessa Testarossa, my perfect guy happens to be Kenshin Himura from Samurai x (anime) or Rurouni Kenshin (manga). Yes he has long red hair and yes he's frail and looks a lot like a girl and the english version of the anime gave him a feminine voice. But he kick asses way much cooler than Jean Claude or Arnold could even begin to dream off and he could melt my heart with his loyalty way much quicker than Leonardo DiCaprio's smile (when he was in Titanic and Romeo & Juliet not now) could.

My Kenshiin...

I could list a lot of other "bishounen" or pretty guys from anime or manga that I would fantasize as my hero a lot faster than I could list real-life people. Brad Pitt? Ashton Kutcher? Who's that?

My heroes

My definition of how a friend should be comes from Naruto, Bleach, One piece and Law of Ueki and my love stories perfect or tragic comes from stories like Sailormoon, Full Moon wo Sagashite, Ayashi no Ceres, Skip Beat and that's just some on top of my head. I mean, who needs Shakespeare? (no offense intended coz I actually love Shakespeare too but don't tell anyone)

my tale of friendship and loyalty

My love stories

I'd rather spend my days holed up in my room watching anime or reading manga than watching tv. I'd rather finish my reading or watching the last episode of the anime rather than sleep.

not one

But despite all of that, no, I am not a geek and I am definitely not an otaku (some sort of japanese geeks) either. I am just me. The brat with a weird unique sense and taste. Well, at least I am not being destructive or anything, right?

I wonder if you have a secret hobby/passion like mine?

A simple note from the brat,

Kanashimi no Yukue (Where Love Goes)

I fell in love with the song the first time I hear it. It had always been that way for me when it comes to Korean pop sensation, TVXQ also known as Tohoshinki/ DBSG/ DBSK. Now, when they have disbanded and three of them created this group called JYJ, I still fell in love with their song the first time I hear it.

When it comes to being a fan, the brat fails at all aspects. But when it comes to music, the brat doesn't discriminate. What she feels good, she will say it is. No matter who the singer is.

I thought I want to share this song will you guys. The lyrics, the song arrangement and the vocal are just simply beautiful. (It helps that the singer are also 'beautiful') The pictures I used are just random pictures I collected from the internet and had been in my archive for quite some time. Sorry I can't attribute it to the original artist, but if you saw this, know that I thank you very much.

(Lyrics, composed, and arranged by Shinjiroh Inoue)

教えてくれないか 心はまだ救えるかな
Oshiete kurenaika kokoroha mada sukuerukana
I want to know if our souls can still be saved

消えない足跡を残すように 時を掛け違う
Kienai ashiatowo nokosuyouni tokiwo kakechigau
Leaving our lasting marks, we are drifting apart as time ticks away

愛を量り 誰も苦しまない 夢ならいいのに
Aiwo hakari daremo kurushimanai yumenara iinoni
Feeling the weight of love, if it is just a dream where everyone will not suffer

悲しみよ 泣かないで 何も見えなくても
Kanashimiyo nakanaide nanimo mienakutemo
Sadness, please do not weep, even though we can see almost nothing

思い出は そばにある 永遠を埋めて
Omoideha sobaniaru eienowo umete
The memories are by our side, forever and ever

幸せは終わるより 変わる方が 僕には寂しい
Shiawaseha owaruyori kawaruhouga bokuniha samishii
For me, happiness changing is more lonely, than happiness coming to an end

言葉が遠くても 想いがただつながるなら
Kotobaga tookutemo omoiga tada tsunagarunara
Even if our words are far away, if we feel connected

僕らを隔ててる傷は癒える 今は叶わない
Bokurawo hedateteru kizuha ieru imaha kanawanai
Our wounds will heal, though it will not be granted for now

あの笑顔 無理に引き裂く雨 いつまで続く
Ano egao murini hikisaku ame itsumade tsuduku
How long are the rainy days, that tear apart our smiles?

悲しみよ 泣かないで 温もりは去っても
Kanashimiyo nakanaide nukumoriha sattemo
Sadness, please do not weep, even though the warmth has gone

いつだってそばにいる 木枯らしを避けて
Itsudatte sobaniiru kogarashiwo sakete
I will be at your side, avoiding the cold blasts

眠 れずに触れた手が 幻でも 僕には 優しい
Nemurezuni fureta tega maboroshi demo bokuniha yasashii
Even if I touch a phantom hand on a sleepless night, I will feel tenderness

大切なものひとつだけ 守れる力がほしい
Taisetsuna mono hitotsudake mamoreru chikaraga hoshii
I want the strength to protect my only one jewel

孤独の意味に堪える 痛みなら受け入れるよ
Kodokuno imini kotaeru itaminara ukeireruyo
Battling loneliness, I will live with aches and pains

悲しみよ 泣かないで 何も見えなくても
Kanashimiyo nakanaide nanimo mienakutemo
Sadness, please do not weep, even though we can see almost nothing

思い出は そばにある 永遠を埋めて
Omoideha sobaniaru eienwo umete
The memories are by our side, forever and ever

幸せは終わるより 変わる方が 僕には寂しい
Shiawaseha owaruyori kawaruhouga bokuniha samishii
For me, happiness changing is more lonely, than happiness coming to an end

An Official Apology to Nuffnang

I was supposed to be at the glitterati+ meet yesterday (16/10/2010). However, I fell very sick and is still now recovering from it. If you guys had noticed, I haven't been updating either. Lately I was so busy with my studies that I barely have time to take care of myself. And when the work finally subsided on Friday, I fell sick. It was worst on Saturday.

So, Nana Eddy, the Brat, officially writing an apology post to nuffnang team for my inability to be at the glitteratti+ meeting. If there is anything I can do to make it up, I will.

I'm Sorry

I'm Sorry

I'm Sorry

Lesson-Learnt Rules...

Grrr... Assignments are everywhere,. and next week is time for my final tests. (note the (s) that means everyday also got one ma!) I barely have anytime for me, let alone for anyone else.

So today is gonna be a really short one. This one I 'stole' form Jaerragus's page. Jae, if you are reading this, sorry I curi... hehe. I thought it was interesting and worth sharing with you guys.

Alright these are the lesson-learnt rules that Bill Gates said your children will never learn in school...

Rule 1:
Life is not fair -- get used to it!

Rule 2
The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

Rule 3:
You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.

Rule 4:
If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.

Rule 5:
Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping -- they called it opportunity.

Rule 6:
If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

Rule 7:
Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you are. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.

Rule 8:
Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

Rule 9:
Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.

Rule 10:
Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

Rule 11:
Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

Wise man that Bill Gates. That's why he's one of the richest man in the world.

on the side note, "I wanna be a billionaire so freaking bad...."

Celebrating the M.O.I.S.T me (Vaseline Poolside Partaay!!)

I know, this is a bit overdue but what the heck, I'm gonna post it up anyway!! For the first time ever, I get to meet with fellow bloggers, I just HAVE to post!

WARNING: there will be A LOT of pictures here...

Remember my M.O.I.S.T post? Well, I was one of the lucky 70 bloggers who were invited to the poolside party. It just show that the Brat is definitely Most Obviously Indefinitely Super Terrific.

the view from 33rd floor of Luna Bar Poolside

Anyway, I went there with my loco sister cum blogger, Miemy Eddy (note that Eddy is our dad, and thus the similarity). And arrived at approximately 5.

Miemy Eddy

While waiting in the line to get into Luna Bar at the registration area, I met  the blogger that happens to be queing up in front of me, Kaizen.

Kaizen Shinobi-san
Then, he pointed me out a famous Bahasa blogger, Dark Batman

Bro Dark Batman, lelaki.kacak.maskulin

Then my sister and I decided to take a walk on the other side of the magnificent pool. There we met these pretty ladies, Joanne and Cat.

Joanne is the blogger for rumtumblurpei

and of course, there were a lot of other blogger too, who later share the same table with us.

me, Joanne, Kahee, Miemy, and Suzai

Mimey was there with us too. He's so sweet...

While busy taking pictures suddenly, I spotted an entity that seems so very familiar to me. So, I decided to get closer and see if my eyes didn't deceive me. And Whoaallah! I found Vince!

he managed to get to the party, and I manage to spot him!
the funny, cute, naughty blogger of
Vincent's Philosophy

There were a lot of people there. Since I know almost no one yet, I decided, it's best if I mingle around and see who else I'll bump into. Thank God for the name sticker everyone was wearing, I noticed some VERY familiar names. And so, I approached to say hi!

my name sticker.

With Dylan the cute guy with an everlasting smile

a quite famous blogger, feeq from feeqsays
a slightly blurred picture of me with the dashing babebaboon
(maybe the phptographer saw the pretty girl behind us)
with Adrian and his date
with two ladies who still look so beautiful even though it has been  3 hours into the party
Moon and Jun

However, there was only ONE special blogger who came and said hi to me, bacause SHE recognized MY NAME (awww.. so sweet). A big applause to the very very lovely Msxeroz

Nicole@Msxeroz - She's so pretty and small. I feel like an ogre next to her..

she was moving around her her friend, also a familiar name to me, Yiwern

I really need to start taking down people's links...
The PARTY was of course awesome with all the nuffies there... but what makes it even more cooler was

#1 The MAGNIFICENT view

Night view from the 33rd Floor
magnificent KL tower view we have from Luna.
Not exactly the view, but I adore this arrangement.

#2 beautiful pretty host, Jojo Struys

she's so pretty that I feel so short, fat and ugly.

#3 The comedian, Kuah Jen Han - very funny guy.

this was supposed to be a hip-hop-cool pose. But it didn't seem that way.. lols

#4 Yuna and her band. - They sounded really good that night.

Yuna and her band, on stage
Yuna - her voice is sooooo good.

her cute (*wink *wink) drummer
one of her guitarist

would I pass the chance to take picture with these guys? no way!

And of course, with Yuna herself. She's one heck of a friendly singer!

Unfortunately for me, I didn't stay until the end of the event. I have another promise with my mum (yes, despite being bratty, the brat is a good daughter.) All in all, it was a great evening. Thanks to Nuffnang and Vaseline... So I say bye to all and started my way out...

Of course, not before one last final shot.

Hey, I'm a BRAT after all :)
